SunReady Solar exists because going solar shouldn't require a degree in engineering or a thick skin for sales pressure. We built the resource we wish existed.
SunReady Solar is an independent Australian solar education and installer-matching service. We don't manufacture panels, we don't install systems, and we don't have a brand or product to push. That independence is the whole point.
We were built by a team with backgrounds across renewable energy, consumer advocacy, and digital publishing — frustrated by how hard it was for ordinary homeowners to find honest, unsponsored information about going solar in Australia.
The Australian solar market is one of the most active in the world — we have some of the highest household adoption rates on earth — but it's also littered with confusing jargon, wildly varying quotes, and companies whose interests don't align with yours. We wanted to fix that.
We do two things, and we do them well:
1. Free education. Our guides, calculators, and tools are written without commercial bias. We don't take money from panel manufacturers or inverter brands to feature them in our content. When we say a product or brand is recommended, it's because the evidence supports it — not because someone paid for the placement.
2. Installer matching. When you're ready to get a quote, we match you with the highest-rated, CEC-accredited installer operating in your postcode. One installer, not a list. We vet every partner for accreditation, insurance, reviews, and service standards. We earn a referral fee from installers when a successful quote is provided — but this never influences whose quotes are the best or who gets matched to which homeowner.
We earn a fixed referral fee from installers when they successfully connect with a homeowner through SunReady. This fee does not affect the price you pay, does not influence our editorial content, and is not conditional on you accepting a quote. We believe you deserve to know this upfront.
We're selective about the installers we work with. Every installer in the SunReady network must:
We remove installers who receive complaints, fail to maintain accreditation, or don't meet our conduct standards. If you ever have a poor experience with an installer matched through SunReady, we want to know — contact us directly.
60 seconds, 4 questions, matched with the best local installer in your area. Free and obligation-free.
